Ord?
  • Is there more Ord in the works?
I hope the answer is yes...

  • (So, looking back, I feel like every thread I start is basically "more more more gimme gimme gimme..."
It sounds impatient, but really I'm just trying to express interest and support and fandom and whatnot.)

i don't mind "gimme gimme" posts, but i wouldn't call your questions that. a "gimme gimme post is a demand, wnad what you are doing is inquiring.

currently i have two things in the works. one is Ord, and the other is a project called father and son.

the problem with both is that i only have so much time and money. ORD is a real fantasy story, and a real attempt to reclaim my childhood in some ways. I started the project with a great guy, but he's not as experianced as all the other illustrators i'm working worth, and he's rather unreliable. the story concept was originally his, and while i'm perfectly capable of continuing it on my own, i think the best plan in regards to ORD would actually be to start over from scratch. (we're only three pages in after-all)

so like it says on the front page. ord is on hiatus. pretty much until my current project leader get's of his ass, or i find a good illustrator to replace him.

all things bieng equal, it's hard for me to fix problems when they come up. i don't have the numbers, fan-wise to justify add-space and so-forth. what i need is more people spreading teh word about my comic, and more fans. once i'm getting 100 a week i can begin to justify some expenses.

Ah, so if I want more, I need to do my part to raise awareness of Kalman and Kalman accessories.

For what it's worth, I've papered much of central and southern Alabama with counterfeit Bullette bills. You gave me a stack of them at Dragoncon, and at first I misunderstood what you wnated me to do with them, so I dispersed about a third of them at the Con itself (sneaking them into peoples belongings and clothing and anywhere else I could get away with until I got caught with my fingers in someone else's elaborate shirt thing). Then I realized you probably intended for me to bring them home and scatter them around a different state, so I did. I wish I had some magic device that would show me if my efforts have raised any interest or curiosity...

well, i had no specific plan for what you should do with them, so I'm thankful for both.

but to answer your implied question, in Alabama: I've had 5 log-ons from Auburn, one from mobile one form Tuscaloosa, and one from Birmingham.

and yes the point is to get up the word. That's more important than anything else for me at this juncture, and i of course have no idea of how to do it.

I think the best thing to do seems to just link your favorite comic to face-book and forums and the like.
