Roger… We are “go” for launch!
It’s been a very long year here at Mad ink. in the last six months I’ve gone though three websites… we’ve fallen behind in our updates, and I’ve been house hunting.
I’m still searching for a home, but it’s nice to finally be making progress with the rest of my life.
First of all I’d like to give a big round of applause for Aleksey and his silent partner. He hasn’t been feeling well but despite his illness he is finishing my site and doing an amazing job. Seriously dude. Thankyou.
Second of all, The Tour guide is finally launched! go check out the City of Fever page, and enjoy Banu and My artwork. We’ll be launching a new card each day for the next few months! Enjoy.
Third of all, there are still some parts of the site that aren’t fully up to speed. the store is still down… the backgrounds are still behaving at less than optimal efficiency, and there are still plenty of blank spots on the site I have to fill in.
Fourth, I know we’ve fallen behind with …and Chris, and on the new site we are only up to 40, when on the old site we were up to 42. I’m going to do my best to get us up to 46 by Friday, enjoy the lump of a few new comics at once, and we’ll be back on a normal Friday update schedule from here on out.
And lastly, DRAGONCON!
I’m here at dragon con this week, Exhibitor booth 115!
This is my first year at Dragoncon, but I grew up around these sort of things. I was going to Icon back when Asimov was getting banned for hitting on underage students. Okay maybe I’m not that ancient but cons and I have had a long relationship.
At this point, the romance is gone. the novelty has warn off, and I’m rarely shocked suppressed or excited, but Dragoncon is different.
Don’t get me wrong they are just as annoying on the phone as any convention (save king-con, they are the sweetest people) but the history of the convention itself is amazingly rich. It’s an older con, one of the first fan-run conventions but unlike all the other fan-done cons, they actually manages to make it! to this day it’s still supposedly one of the most fun conventions in the world!
Kudos Dragoncon, I salute you!
Can’t wait to see you all there! booth 115 in the marquis!
